December 2024 – Christmas Markets

As every year, we celebrated the lab’s accomplishments over some mulled wine and delicious food at the Bonn Christmas Market, and we also made waffles at the BMZ Christmas Market.

November 2024 – Cluster Science Days

At this year’s Cluster Science days of ImmunoSensation, Luisa gave a talk and we had 6 posters presented by the lab. Teresa won one of the best poster awards!

Dirk attended the 12th Annual Meeting of the International Cytokine & Interferon Society jointly with the Korean Association of Immunologists International Meeting 2024 at COEX, Seoul, Korea. July 2024 – Germinal Centre Conference in Ireland

Luisa and Teresa attended the EMBO Workshop on Lymphatic Tissues and Germinal Centres in Immune Reactions in Galway, Ireland. This is always a great meeting and they both received valuable feedback on their projects.

June 2024 – DGfI T cell study group meeting in Marburg

Luisa, Teresa, and Maxi joined the annual meeting of the T cell study group of the German Society of Immunology (DGfI) in Marburg. They enjoyed the many talks, networking, and the nice dinner at the medieval castle on the top of Schlossberg. Luisa gave a talk on her project.

May 2024 – New DAAD RISE Germany research intern from Canada

The Baumjohann Lab is happy to host another DAAD RISE Germany research intern. This year, Phoebe McNair-Luxon from The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, will stay in our group for the next three months. She will learn all about T helper cells with hands-on lab experience under Luisa’s and Teresa’s guidance.
