July 2025 – Lab retreat on the Petersberg

This year’s lab retreat took place on and around the Petersberg, which boasts panoramic views of the Rhine river and Bonn. For decades, this historic site has seen many famous politicians and celebritiese, with the Grand Hotel Petersberg serving as an official guest house of the Federal Republic of Germany.

July 2025 – DGfI T cell study group meeting in Raitenhaslach

For the first time, the annual meeting of the T cell study group of the German Society of Immunology (DGfI) was held in Raitenhaslach, Bavaria, on the border of Germany and Austria. June 2025 – New DAAD RISE Germany research intern from New York

The Baumjohann Lab is happy to host our third DAAD RISE Germany research intern within the last couple of years. Kavita Murthy from Columbia University in New York spends three months in our group to learn about T and B cells in anti-tumor settings and to perform experiments under the guidance of Teresa.

April 2025 – New collaborative research grant

We are glad to be part of a joint project together with Finn Hansen and Evi Kostenis that aims to dissect the intercellular communication in human tonsil-based immune organoids, which has recently received funding by the University’s Transdisciplinary Research Area (TRA) – Life and Health.
